The brand Wiko introduced at MWC some of their more recent and diverse models showing the brand commitment in giving the best products thinking about the users needs and interests.
Wiko showed their new smartphones, that excel for their low thickness: the Wiko HighWay Star 4G and Pure 4G and the Ridge range composed by Wiko Ridge 4G and Wiko Ridge Fab 4G. If this catch your interest stick around and get to know the new features and functionalities of this upcoming products.
Wiko Highway Star 4G
This was the first product introduced by the company and it shows an attractive and resistant design. It has some features that make them a good bet for a medium range and with a good performance smartphone.
Users can get it in silver, gold or grey. It was designed with dimensions of 141×71, 4×6, 6 mm and weighs 123g. It has a 5″ AMOLED screen with a 1200×720 pixels resolution. And the cameras weren’t forgotten. The Highway Star 4G comes with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5Mp front camera, both with LED flash. This device has a 16GB internal memory expandable with a microSD card. It will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, but don’t get sad because e an update for Lollipop it’s expected for Summer. In what concern to the processor this will be an 1.5 GHz Octa-Core with 2GB RAM and a 2450mAh battery. And you can chose between a nanoSIM card or a MicroSIM one.
According to Wiko this handset will probably be on the market on on the Q2 of this year with a price around 300€.
Wiko Highway Pure 4G
With a promising and convincent design with this model with only 98g Wiko introduces the World’s lighter smartphone.
It will be available for nanoSIM cards and you can chose between white/silver or black/gold. This smartphone will also run Android 4.4 KitKat with an expected update for Lollipop for the same time as the previous one.
It has 141,9×68,1×5.1mm of dimensions and a 4,8″ AMOLED screen also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with a 1200×720 and 360 pixels resolution. The Highway Pure 4G brings a 8M rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Its 16GB internal memory could expandable with a microSD card. About the processor we can say that it will be a 1.2 GHz SoC 410 Qualcom Snapdragon with a 2GB RAM. The battery will be a 2000mAh one. In what concerns to connectivity this smartphone has 4G LTE, GPS and 4.0 Bluetooth.
Like the previous one this device will be available on the market on on the Q2 of this year with a price around 300€.
Wiko Ridge 4G e Ridge Fab 4G
One of the new ranges that appears at the Wiko presentation it’s the Wiko Ridge 4G and this promises to bring an IPS technology with the same benefits as the previous ones. The models of this range have the same components with the IPS technology screen. However there are some differences. Comparing this smartphone to the other ones this handset it’s more heavy, bigger and the screen size increased as well.
Both models will be available in in black/grey and white/gold and will have the options for nanoSIM or microSIM. The Wiko Ridge 4G measures 143 x 72 x 7,5 mm and weighs 125g. While the Wiko Ridge Fab 4G measures 78,2 x 156 x 8.6 mm and weighs 154g.
The Wiko Ridge 4G has a 5″screen and the Wiko Ridge Fab 4G has a 5.5″ screen, with a 1280×720 resolution and equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The first one battery it’s 2420 mAh while the Ridge Fab 4G has a 2820 mAh battery.
In common these models have a 16GB internal memory, a 1,2 GHz SoC 410 Qualcomm Snapdragon and a 2GB RAM, with 4G LTE, 4.0 Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. They bring a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera, both equipped with a sensor made by Sony. These devices also run Android 4.4 KitKat with the expected Lollipop update.
The Wiko Ridge 4G will be available for 199€ while the Ridge Fab 4G will cost 229€.
In all their presentation Wiko revealed that their goal wasn’t just smartphones, revealing an interest and commitment the wearable market. With this arises the Wiko Watch, a watch that hides a fitness bracelet. It has an attractive and bold design but still simple.
The watch assures a 4 years durability with the battery included. On the other hand the bracelet activity has a 6 months autonomy and it can be recharged after. It has buttons on the edges and a circule that allow the time setting. It also has built-in a LED system that allows to notify the users progress and the notifications received.
All of this products will be available on the market very soon. However there is no information about a releasing date in Europe. So if you want to get one of these devices you will have to wait for more informations on this.
One thing it’s for sure, these are products that are trying to get in the market promising quality with accessible prices.
