Shortly after the LG Watch Urbane revealed, another rumour says that LG could be working on a deluxe version for the smart watch. LG keep it very silent until today when LG announces the LG Watch Urbane Luxe.
Under the hood, the things is probably no different but outside, there are a lot of difference. The Urbane Luxe is plated in 23-karat gold which is stronger and harder than 24-karat options. Yes. You read it correct. As you know 24-karat gold is so soft and it may not suitable for smart watch.
The device also comes standard with a genuine leather band with gold-plated clasps for easy attachment and removal. It looks a treat, but you’re going to have to drop some serious coin if you want some: LG has already confirmed a starting price tag of $1,200. That’s not unreasonable for the quality you’re getting, though we don’t blame you if you instantly cross this off your list of prospects because of it.
LG will ship the Watch Urbane Luxe in a glass lacquer box that you can use to put it on display for the times where you aren’t wearing it. There are also only 500 of these being made, so there’s a bit of exclusivity for those lucky enough to be able to grab one.
You can pre-order Urbane Luxe in the US at Reeds in September. But be quick as only very limited number will be available and it will be swallowed up in no time by rich folks out there.
