There were some news yesterday that Twitter and Google had reach a deal to show tweets in search results. Today these unofficial news it’s official today! Dick Costolo, Twitter CEO, made the announcement today!
According to TechCrunch:
The Google search deal will essentially be used for “onboarding,” Costolo said. If a “logged out” user sees a Tweet in a Google search and then clicks on it, that person will be delivered to a special “logged out” page, which will likely not only give them an option to sign up, but also deliver them an ad or two.
However there is no informations about the potential launch date. This could be a really good move by Twitter. Showing tweets in Google searches could open the social network to more users.
