At the next year MWC Samsung should announce its Galaxy S7 that will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, the brand doesn’t forget the current and previous generation of devices. Informations about the possibility of Samsung to be working on the Marshmallow update for its high-end devices, are out there for some time. Now, Samsung Viet reports that there is a timeline for the release of Android 6.0 updates for several Samsung smartphones and tablets including the Galaxy S6 trio and the Galaxy Note series.
According to the post, the Samsung smartphones will get Android 6.0 in the Q1 of 2016. These devices include the Galaxy Note 5, the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 4 Duos, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 edge + Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6, S6 Galaxy Duos, Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 Neo and Galaxy S5 LTE-A. In the Q2 of next year, other devices will also receive the Marshmallow update, like the Galaxy Alpha, the Galaxy Tab A, the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7
However, we know that we shouldn’t take this information for granted, at least while tere is no official information from the South Korean brand.
