After several rumours about the next Meizu phone , its finally here! With its metal unibody , the handset weighs 149g and measures 149,9mm x 74.7mm x 7.6mm. Making it just a little bit more heavier than its predecessor the MX4.
The MX5 is powered by the true octa-core processor, the MT6795T , also known as the Helio X10 , with all its cores clocked to 2.2GHz and also comes with a PowerVR G6200 GPU.
To present you with all this performance , the MX5 comes with a 5.5-inch super AMOLED display with Gorila Glass 3, displaying a full HD resolution powered by a 3,150mAh battery. To make sure that the phone does its job when it comes to multitasking , it comes equipped with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and to storage all your apps you can choose between a 16GB, a 32GB and a 64GB version , all using the eMMC 5.0 chips.
On the camera side , the specs are pretty amazing. With an 20.7MP rear camera , dual-color LED , flash and laser-aided focus and Gorila Glass 3 covered lens , the MX5 is capable of recording 4k videos and 100-fps slow-motion recordings at 720p , and it also has a 5mp ‘selfie’ shooter improved for low-light performance.
For a better security of your phone , the MX5 comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor , just like the MX4 Pro. However , it has been upgraded , and the 2.0 version brings a stylish desing and improved speed and accuracy. Due to a special water-proof protection on the inside , you’ll get around 300,000 presses without having any problems.
the Mx5 comes with Bluetooth 4.1, LTE support on both SIM card slots, the new mCharge technology , which loads up the MX5 up to 25% of battery in just 10 minutes. And above all that , it comes with the new Flyme OS 4.5.
The prices announced for the MX5 goes from CNY 1,800 ($290) for the 16GB version and up to CYN 2,399 ($390) for the 64GB version.
The MX5 is currently available in deep grey , silver and champagne gold colors.
