Huawei has just released its new smartphone G8 in China as a mid-range device with a metal design. The G8 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC and Adreno 405 GPU. It also have two storage options: one with 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM, the other with 32GB of on-board storage and 3GB of RAM. Both models come with expandable memory up to an additional 64GB.
In what concerns to the cameras, there is a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front camera. Huawei also included a fingerprint scanner on the back of the G8. All of these it’s powered by a 3000mAh battery. It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop behind Huawei’s own Emotion UI.
The g8 will be available in three color options: White, Gold, and Black. The two models will cost $370 and $343, respectively. However, Huawei has yet to comment on the handset’s availability outside of China.
