Yesterday, October 30th, Huawei present in Fnac Colombo in Lisbon a new smartphone, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. This Ascend Mate 7, according to the Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu, promises to be the fastest and more appealing Huawei smartphone with a 6 inches FHD screen, a 7.9mm of thickness and 185g of weight, an octa-core chipset and a 4100mAh lithium polymer battery that can last up to two days.
This smartphone it’s made by 95% of metal and has an internal structure of strong aluminum that prevents to reach high temperatures. This has an ergonomic curve to use the device in an easy and safe way with just one hand. The 6 inches screen fills 83% of the device what leaves only a thin frame on which side of the Ascend Mate 7.
The screen it’s a FHD in-cells LTPS technology that consumes very little energy and gives us incredible images.
And what about security? In this new smartphone Huawei introduces a new fingerprint reading technology. With just a simple touch the Ascend Mate 7 ensures total safety and speed when we need to unblock it, the same in install applications or having access to online services.
With an octa-core chipset the Ascend Mate 7 has an intellegent processor which means that depending on the energy required for the differents applications or functions the management of the processor usage it’s made in a smart way to ensures a higher performance spending with less energy possible. This happens thanks to the smart processor HiSilicon Kirin 925 that has four big A15 chipsets of 1.8GHz and another smaller A7 chipsets of 1.3 GHz that are activated in different configurations.
The small cores are activated when running applications and helps to save about 50% of battery, while the others A15 cores are activated when we are using the smartphone in high performance like when playing games.
And besides the above mentioned, with the Huawei exclusive technology this smartphone allows the choice between three saving modes – normal, smart and ultra.
To put an end to the unblock with a pattern or with a password this new Huawei smartphone it’s the first 6 inches device on the market that allows the user to unblock it with a fingerprint. The fingerprint reader located on the back of the smartphone (below the camera) memorizes up to five different fingerprints that can be distributed by normal or guest mode. The guest mode was developed to improve the security of your smartphone protecting some files and contents that we select. The Ascen Mate 7 has a high reading precision with 508PPI and this way we don’t need to swipe our finger several times even with our fingers wet. And for a better security this device has the ARM TrustZone that stores in the chipset encrypted data.
With the Ascend Mate 7 we can have access to the internet with download speeds up to 300Mbps thanks to the 4G LTE Cat6 technology.
This smartphone has a 1.3MP back camera that capture great prictures even in a low light and a 5MP frontal camera that has 5P aspherical lenses for a better definition and less distortion.
The Ascend Mate 7 has a new design in all the software interface thanks to the new version of the Huawei interface – the EMUI 3.0. With this you can use the smartphone with just one hand if you prefer.
In additional to the Ascend Mate 7 Huawei releases its first wearable – the Huawei TalkBand B1.
This promises to be the best complement “talk and track” with a great connectivity in wirelles calls and daily monitoring. Resistant to dust and water it’s the ideal company for an outdoor activity.
This it’s because this device tracks the activity time and your progress, like steps you take over the day and the calories you burn and with this you can set and accomplish your goals. You can even set an alarm clock and see the quality and how much do you sleep.
The TalkBand B1 vibrates over 10 meters of the synchronized device. With a Bluetooth™ 4.1 hear headphone and a 1.4 inches flexible OLED this device allows seven hours of wkirless calls and easily synchronizes via NFC. To talk you just have press the open button and lift the bracelet headset.
The TalkBand B1 it’s sweat and anti-UV resistant and it’s made with anti allergy materials. It only have 14,6 mm thick and 26g of weight. It’s a device with an elegant style and a flexible curve very comfortable for the daily use. The headphone it’s easily removable when it’s necessary.
With a 90mAh battery this device bear until six days without the need of charging and charges with an USB connector in just two hours.

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will be available in two colors: Silver Moon and Obsidian Black.
On the portuguese market it will only be available at Fnac stores and only with the Talkband B1 at a recomended price of 549,90€.
