Spy Tool Kit is a fun and neat little toolbox of useful mini-apps, ideal for the wannabe James Bond or Jason Bourne operatives. From the handy Flashlight to the awesome ‘Diversion Creator’, there are all kinds of things here to help you infiltrate an enemy base and steal secret weapon plans. Easy to use and responsive, Spy Tool Kit is the app ‘Q’ should be downloading for Bond in the next movie.

Spy Tool Kit is just cool… simple as that. It provides an essential collection of mini-apps for the aspiring undercover secret agent in the field. You get a flashlight, a countdown timer, a voice recorder, anti-tamper alarm, diversion creator and a voice disguiser. Each of which could play an important role in outwitting a criminal mastermind. The joy of all these tools- they are all in one place, which is ideal for the under-pressure spy who doesn’t have time to scour their app drawer for individual apps.
The Flashlight is quite basic (just on and off), but I imagine an important tool regardless if you’re trying to diffuse a bomb in the dark. One thing evil masterminds always do is give the authorities a fair warning of their impending plans which is where the Countdown Timer is ideal. If your suspiciously wealthy-yet-completely-psychopathic nemesis gives you 4 hours to save the world, simply put this into the timer and you’ll always know how long you have. Often, you’ll need to eavesdrop on henchmen to get clues as to locations and codes. The multi-purpose Voice Recorder (voice activated one nonetheless!) is perfect for capturing those vital details.
So, you actually get a chance to confront your nemesis in a formal-yet-testy meeting at his hospitable nuclear bunker/underwater base. However, nature calls and you need to excuse yourself. If you’re leaving your phone behind, set the Anti-Tamper Alarm on to ensure they do not try and access the information on your phone. Far more effective than an lock screen pattern or code, the app will play a loud siren alarm which cannot be deactivated unless you know the on-screen location of the off switch. Genius stuff Q! The Diversion Creator has to be the coolest and most helpful feature. If you need access to a secret office, server room or bomb cabinet; perhaps you need copies of weapon blueprints or need to hack into the computer network. Diversion Creator can occupy the guards with a number of smart distractions. You can select: siren, fart, doorbell, whistle, cat’s meow, coughing, phone or even create your own custom sound! Finally there might be occasions where you need to make an anonymous phone call- and I mean anonymous! What better then than the superb Voice Disguiser! It’s let’s you alter you voice on a sliding scale which starts with ‘Demon’ (deep voice) to ‘Cartoon’ (high pitched helium-fused voice).
After a fair bit of testing, I found each aspect of the app fully functional and very handy indeed, I would go so far as to say even if you weren’t actually a spy, these would be great fun to use with family and friends. Tired of hearing Granddad’s family anecdotes during a tedious Christmas dinner? The Diversion Creator could rescue you. Want to ensure no one messes with your Android while you pop to the kitchen to get munchies? That Anti-Tamper Alarm is a perfect solution. Feel the need to make creepy late-night phone calls to your friend? Use the Voice Disguiser to freak them out! The applications are truly endless, whether you are actually infiltrating a castle fortress high in the Bavarian mountains and saving the world or just watching an actor do it on television, Spy Tool Kit is a cool and nifty little app that works well and is loads of fun.
Because Spy Tool Kit has such a range of purposes, it’s very useful for lots of different reasons. Sure you’ve probably got a Voice Recorder and a Flashlight on your device, but here they are in a handy little app alongside a slew of other tools. Why search your app draw if they’re all in one place?
Ease of Use
When you have seconds to save the world as we know it from the clutches of an evil genius, you need something intuitive and easy to use. I’m certain Spy Tool Kit has been designed with that in mind- no spy needs complex apps to navigate when they’re a heartbeat away from being caught. It’s incredibly easy to use and each mini-app is very straightforward and responsive.
It really depends on how often you’re deployed on field missions, which might rely on how much your government actually trusts you. If your opportunities are limited with the likes of the CIA, FBI, MI5, MI6, FSB or S.H.I.E.L.D, you can at least use the app as a fun and entertaining prank app to use on friends, family or strangers who look like they might have a sense of humour.
The interface is simple and straight forward, but more Sean Connery than David Craig. Everything works fine but the UI is a little simple compared to some of the latest spy tech they have.

- 6 spy tools in one!
- Easy to use!
- Sounds are very good- no tinny noises that automatically fake sound!
- Plenty of applications and lots of fun!
- Ethan Hunt might demand a slightly better UI.
