Sony announced today the new Xperia M5, the new mid range smartphone, that has as it’s defining characteristic some of the best cameras there are for smartphones. High-res selfies are coming!
Although it’s not in the top-lines of the Japanese company’s catalog, the Xperia M5 still has great components, like a 5-inch Full HD display, a 64-bit octa-core Helio X10 processor from MediaTek, 3GB of RAM, and 4G LTE connectivity. It also has a microSD card slot, NFC, up to 16GB of internal storage, and 2,600mAh battery that promises to last up to two days in between charges. And much like the other devices from Sony, this has the IP65 and IP68 certification, that means it’s resistant to dust and water.
And for the best part, the cameras. This has a 21.5 megapixel back camera with 0.2 second hybrid auto-focus, 4K video recording and 5x “Clear Image Zoom”. On the front, the camera provides 13 megapixel resolution with auto-focus and HDR. Now selfies will be easier then ever to take!
What we don’t know is how much it’ll cost or when it comes out, but we’ll keep you posted!
