Samsung has released only one tablet with an AMOLED display in the past. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 was actually a really nice device with a good screen, especially for those of us that enjoy the deep blacks and nice saturation of AMOLED. Sadly, we haven’t seen a single tablet that utilizes taht display technology since then.
However, that may change soon! Samsung has long been rumored to be making an AMOLED successor to the Galaxy Tab 7.7, and now we have a little more information on it. The model number will be SM-T800, and according to a user agent string on Samsung’s website, the display resolution will be 2560×1600. There will also be the SM-T801 3G model and the SM-T805 LTE model.
The tablet will be powered by an Exynos 5 processor and will run the TouchWiz version on current models, Magazine UX and all.
