Early this year we said that the ‘Project Valley’ were in early stages and would probably take a year or two to launch. Rumours weren’t lying, the secret project is now not secret anymore, the foldable device is meant to be launched in January 2016.
Sources revealed that the device will have the SM-G929F as a model number, since the Galaxy S6 edge+ has de model number of SM-G928, it’s expected to see a similar phone when it comes to specs, the only thing different might be the foldable display.
For the launch, these are the countries that will embrace the foldable device:
- BTU – United Kingdom
- CPW – United Kingdom (Carphone Warehouse)
- DBT – Germany
- ITV – Italy
- KOR – South Korea
- NEE – Nordic countries
- XEF – France
- XEO – Poland
- XEU – United Kingdom / Ireland
The list is notable for a big country list, and for the US not being on the list is even more notable but Samsung will probably bring the Project Valley to other countries later on.
