Samsung is offering a cashback scheme for Galaxy S5 users who purchase the device with Citibank credit cards, bringing the device cost at par with the launch price of Galaxy S4. If a Citibank user orders the device from Samsung’s official online store, he’ll be eligible for a 15 percent cashback that will be credited by July 15, 2014.
Interestingly, Samsung hasn’t revealed the actual price of the Galaxy S5 and is only taking Rs. 1,500 as the pre-booking price but delving in the terms and conditions reveals that the maximum cash back for the phone is Rs. 7,725, which is 15 percent of Rs. 51,500, suggesting it to be the final market operating price.
However, if you’re looking for a better deal than what Samsung’s official store is offering, local retailers will offer 20 percent cashback on Citibank cards, lowering the final price to Rs. 41,200.
Samsung will sell the Exynos version of Galaxy S5 in India from April 11.
