Resistant to challeging environmentsit’s very important for users when they are choosing a high range device since they are used on daily basis and is expected to withstand some setbacks.
Galaxy S5 users should be recalled that in its specifications is mentioned that this is a water-resistant device, with a IP67 classification and also to dust. However, the same doesn’t happen in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge specifications.
Stress test on the device show that the Galaxy S6 Edge can resist to offensive falls. Apparently, it seems that the same happens on an aquatic environment.
Tests conducted by Keller TechSmartt’s Keaton registered what happens if the Galaxy S6 Edge was submerged in a water container. The results were better than expected. The device was submerged for about 22 minutes, and was only removed for a few moments to assess their status.
As can be seen the water reaches the interior of the device by developing a nebula on the front camera. It is also observed that at first the device freezes when turned on and after that starts working normally.
Then means that in case of accident, users may be lucky enough to save their device in this type of situation. Although it’s not specified to be water proof apparently has a resistance that allows the device to resist this kind of situations.
