With the Galaxy A series Samsung said that it is the starting point of that change. The brand released the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 in Taiwan, and this is the first time that we see the Galaxy A3 in action.
With the Galaxy A5 you get the best of the two devices in what concerns to the hardware, with a 5-inch 720p display, 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 SoC, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 13 MP camera at the back, 5 MP shooter at the front, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 2,300 mAh battery and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The Galaxy A3 comes with a smaller 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 960 x 540. The processor is the same, but the amount of RAM has been reduced to 1.5 GB. The rear camera is watered down, and is an 8 MP variant. The front camera remains with 5 MP. In what concern to the battery device comes with a 1,900 mAh battery.
Both devices are available in white, black and gold color. The Galaxy A5 is priced to the equivalent of $380, and the Galaxy A3 around $287.
