Awhile ago there were some rumors about a finger-print sensor in the LG G4. However, and although the recent trend with this feature, recently this idea was pushed aside by the company. But this decision was taken for a reason. Until 2013 Apple had exclusive access to the best in-class sensors, so LG and other brands decided to give up on this.
Now, in 2015, it seems that this could change. At this year MWC there were some news on this finger-print sensor. Samsung released the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge with this sensors and innovative Samsung Pay tech and services. Then Qualcomm announced a new type of fingerprint readers relying on 3D scanning.
These could be very good news for LG fans because it seems that after these events the South Korean company seems to be entering in the fingerprint/mobile payments market. According to an inside source at LG the brand is making a last-minute change into the their next flagship, inserting a fingerprint scanner.
LG G4 announcement should happen this spring. Until then be aware that these are only rumors and not a certainty. To have precise informations about the G4 we will have to wait. But in the meanwhile we will continue to keep you updated on this. Stay tuned!
