According to Korean outlet eToday Google could team up with LG to manufacture its next generation Nexus smartphone, and probably won’t be called the Nexus 7. It seems that Google engineers have met with LG executives to discuss the deal.
These engineers reportedly toured LG’s factories as well, lending some credence to the idea that the company has been tapped to build the unannounced handset.
According to this report the Nexus project is currently being referred to internally as “N000”. Probably the company’s willingness to help the Android platform forward was one of the reasonsthat attracted Google to the company.
