Most of us Android users along with some that are looking to buy an Android smartphone have a hard time choosing the next Android device on account of several main issues, like design, performance, connectivity, camera quality, price tag, etc.
We all have heard about the bloks project a while ago, before Motorola grabbed it, and now another smart project rises again, although this time is a little bit different.
Project S wants to bring the best of all brands into a single device with an acceptable price tag in order to make our choice easier when upgrading smartphones or simply buying the first Android phone. Take a look at the project video below and you can read more about it afterwards.
So how do the Project S guys will achieve the perfect smartphone? Well its simple:
They are taking into account the best design they have seen so far, which belongs to the Sony flagship phones, as they have the best Uni-body Design with water and dust resistance. What takes part of this ideal design well it seems a 5.8-inch WQHD display with 2560×1440 resolution which is protected against scratches by tempered glass. The ergonomic design allows fingers to easily grip the aluminium body which is 7.6mm thick. There are no speakers visible in order to maintain the unibody design. This phone will be available in white and black.
But the ideal smartphone is not only looks, its also brains so when it comes to performance the Project S phone will have a true Octa-Core processor optimizd with ARM bit LITTLE Tech. It will count on 3GB of RAM to increase performance and you can also count on 32GB of internal memory to keep your games, applications and media, but this isn’t everything as you will also have a micro SD card slot to increase the memory up to 64GB.
So looks and brains are taken care of by this point, but there is still somethings missing, like a great camera and connectivity options amongst other features. So lets start by the camera, the phone will have two cameras, a rear 16MP camera and a 2MP frontal camera. The rear camera will also have a LED shutter and will be able to record up to 2160p @30fps and has loads of features like OIS, HDR, etc. Lets hope that the software that comes along with this camera is great, because as we have seen before megapixels aren’t everything and the processing software goes a long way in order to help photo quality.
There are also some usual features that have come into the market in recent smartphones like gestures, that are available due to motion sensors and of course motion sensors are available in Project’s S phone in order for us to continue to enjoy motion features. Other commodities will also be available such as an IR blaster, to allow you to use your phone like a universal remote. When it comes to connectivity you can also expect WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, DLNA and Miracast and the dream of wireless charging is also a reality with this phone.
Now the greatest thing about Project’s S phone, the price tag, 299$ for an unlocked phone with top specs.
The only catch is the Ideal Smartphone will only hit the market if the Project S gets enough funds in Indiegogo, so you can check out the project and hopefully donate a bit in order for the world to be able to appreciate a new flagship at minimal prices.
