It was known in August of this year and in some countries the LG G2 was released during the last month. However in Portugal the most recent LG device was introduced only yesterday. In Lisbon we didn’t miss the opportunity of knowing the device in hands so we can bring to our readers all of the news and first impressions of the LG G2.
LG reserved for the afternoon a very interesting place in Lisbon. For those who know the city you know that there is no better place than one with a beautiful sight over the Tejo river, and the LG know that and found a pleasant place to introduce a great device: the Belem Bar Café ( BBC ).
The LG G2 it’s the first equipment of the G serie on the premium line equipments. With this line of equipments the LG wants to make a statement at the high range smartphones with android.
For this device, LG went outside and ask the users about certain functionalities. The result it’s a device with solutions centered on the users based on life style and user behavior, offering more benefits to the daily basis with an ergonomic design, useful functionalities and a more intuitive experience.
A Smartphone with new design

On the first contact that we had with this device, it is comfortable, functional and with an appelative design. However some curious points on the design differ this device from what it’s normally established: the Rear Key Concept.
According to LG this is a concept that comes up after earing the users about the use of its device. For the users the bigger the smartphone bigger was the difficulty of using the side buttons of the device. And the Rear Key comes up like that: the control buttons of the device (power, volume) are at the back close to the camera. With this the user has a bigger control of these buttons, where naturally the index finger is positioned.
The buttons beside the normal control to shut down the device, turn up or down the volume, also allows to access to the applications installed on the device, like QuickMemo and the camera.
To shut down or turn on the screen and because of the position of the power button on the back of the device, LG presents a new technology: the Knock-ON. With two touches on the screen it can turn on and off the LG G2, without have to use the rear button.
Edge-to-Edge Display and better energy management
The LG innovations for this device are many and this one it’s really worthwhile. a Full HD5.2’’ screen on a device that only counts with 2.7’’ of wide. This makes this screen the bigger screen ever design for equipments with the LG G2 wide. The innovative Dual Routing technology reduces the side thickness of the device to 2.65mm. Besides this technology the LG G2 screen it’s IPS what gives a better graphic quality and a better precision in the colors definition presenting clear images without any distortion.
In what concerns to energy the LG G2 counts with a 3000mAh battery taking advantage of the device dimensions. To improve the autonomy of the device LG introduced another technology the Graphic RAM (GRAM).
Image and Audio unprecedent

Taking picture with the LG G2 with the 13 Mpx camera as everything for the users to change the traditional cameras for the new smartphone. With the Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) technology the blurred picture are gone, making the pictures sharper and brighter even they are captured on the move or in a envoirment with low light.
With the sound the LG G2 also innovates. The users expect that the sound quality could follow the image quality that they have on the devices, specially when watching movies or playing and the LG G2 presents itself has the first Smartphone fulfilling that. The Hi-Fi sound quality of 24 bit/192kHz reproducing sounds with studio quality much superior to the sound quality that we have on a CD.
Functional and useful user experience (UX) for everyone
