Chinese manufacturer OnePlus had some pretty weird and unusual campaigns in the past. Some of them became notoriously infamous. There was the phone smashing contest that saw people destroy their phones without even knowing the entry criteria, and then there was the contest that was for women only and required them to take photos of themselves with a OnePlus logo.
Now, OnePlus decided to launch another weird campaign in which the Chinese manufacturer is offering 50 people the opportunity to trade in their Samsung Galaxy handset for a OnePlus 2 i.e. either the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge or Galaxy S6.
Now, by just looking at the devices, anyone who keeps a slight interest in the smartphone world will understand that the aforementioned galaxy devices are far better specced than Oneplus 2 and are almost twice the cost. So, why people would choose to trade their top-of-the-line flagship devices for an OnePlus 2 is still a mystery. Also it’s a mystery that why OnePlus is only targeting Samsung devices with this contest instead of just all flagships, iPhone included.
Seems a pretty flop idea to me but what do you think about OnePlus’ latest contest ? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
