OnePlus promised that would keep the fans updated about its next smartphone, the OnePlus 2, and they are keeping their promises. This time we have a cote from the company’s CEO, Pete Lau.
According to Pete Lau, the OnePLus 2 will be priced under $450. Probably that means that it will start at $449.
Knowing that the OnePlus One was priced at $299 (for the 16GB variant) when the brand make it available in the market, the OnePlus 2 price makes this a more premium device of this brand.
The chipset used has something to do with that, like as OnePlus has already explained. They chose a Snapdragon 810, which apparently is significantly more expensive than the 801 used in the OnePlus One.
The OnePlus 2 will have a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port and will be officially outed on July 27 in virtual reality.
