The Finnish brand known for their durable and cheap smartphones is coming back to the mobile market in the fourth quarter of 2016 exclusion (due to the conditions of the sale of the mobile division at Microsoft).
Although its good to see that Nokia is going through the Android path to get back on their feet , the Android does not need Nokia anymore. Due to previous experiences, like the Nokia Tablet N1 packed with Android which passed almost unnoticed on that sector , it might not be a very good idea to get back on the mobile market.
Now we all have to wait and see which phone is Nokia launching in 2016, because everything depends on it. Nokia also has licensed their brand to other manufactures, Alcatel has used this model and certainly with some decent terminals.
Licensing model makes perfect sense if Nokia thinks that they won’t put much effort on this, its fast but low money.
Selling directly to the customer has a higher margins but since the mobile market gets more competitive everyday that goes by , i don’t think that Nokia will stay on their feet for a long time.
Lets wait and see what Nokia has storaged for us and see if its worth our money.
