Even when Samsung denied that a premium Galaxy S5 was in the works, it’s hard to believe that Samsung wouldn’t release a more powerful device to compete with the competition, now that we see rumors of what might be the LG G3 with a QHD display, a rumor as arrived that Samsung is making a premium version of the S5 after all.
This new phone, the Galaxy S5 Prime (codename Project KQ) is yet a rumor and we don’t have any confirmation that this could be true but if it is, the phone will pack a 5.2-inch QHD display (2560x1440p) powered by a Samsung Exynos 5430 processor. The octa-core processor is said to have four 2.1 Ghz cores for high power jobs and four lower power 1.5 GHz cores. And it has a 600 MHz Mali GPU.
It also packs an Intel LTE modem that supports the latest LTE Cat 6 (300mbps top speed).
It’s just a rumor and Samsung might wait to launch this device since they just released the Galaxy S5 but we might see this phone later this year in response to the competition.
