The long-awaited Motorola smartwatch was presented at IFA, the Moto 360 2nd Generation. The smartwatch Moto Sport 360 was also presented yesterday in Berlin, and both smartwatchs will reach markets until the end of the year.
The new Moto 360 2nd Generation didn’t just had a small redesign or simply a color change. This is a smartwatch with improved visual characteristics as well as their autonomy, without forgetting the personalization or even the interaction with your physical activity. Motorola kept the display without a big bend under the theme of maintaining a thinner frame and can thus achieve a 71.7%-display box ratio.
This new model of Moto 360 comes with a single button, positioned “at two o’clock,” was held the round shape and there is now the possibility to purchase a watch with 42mm or 46mm in diameter, and the possibility of the bracelets that equip the Moto 360 2nd Generation be in metal or skin.
This is the most customizable smartwatch model from Motorola, so it is possible, through the Moto Maker choose your Moto 360 2nd Generation to fit your personality, with different materials, colors and bracelets.
Although we have no information about the processor that will equip this new smartwatch, we can share that it will have a heartbeat sensor, Wi-Fi connectivity (allowing you to have connectivity with the smartphone, even when you’re not with it), wireless charging and a battery autonomy up to 48 hours. The OS is naturally the latest version of Android Wear, personalized with the Motorola stamp.
You can get a Motorola Moto 360 2nd generation at the end of the year for € 299.99 that can go to € 429.99, depending on their customization.
This year Motorola bet on a sport version of its smartwatch, dedicated to their customers more radical and active, the Motorola Moto Sport 360. The Moto 360 Sport comes with a AnyLight Hybrid screen that lets you see what’s on the display, even in sunnier days, has GPS integrated and the ability to function with any smartphone and even cooler is the ability to store music to enjoy your workout without having to have your smartphone with you.
As it should be, this Moto Sport 360 is certified IP67, meaning it is resistant to dust and splashes, but unfortunately you can’t swim with it, since it is not guaranteed the tightness of the box. The bracelets are silicone, resistant to ultraviolet radiation so that they have greater durability.
The prices are still unknown, it seems that Motorola still didn’t feel comfortable with their disclosure, but surely we will have that information soon (at least until the end of the year).
