Personal Assistant software seemed like a dream even few years back but now Apple’s Siri and Google Now are ruling the market. Haptik also deserves a honorable mention. Microsoft is also working on their digital assistant named Cortana. Some Windows phone users already have it and when Windows 10 will be launched later this month, many users will have Cortana on their PCs. But it looks like that Cortana might be launched on android very soon.
An early build of Cortana has been leaked online and if you want to try it out, here’s the link. Be aware that this is not the final build so many things may not work as expected. You will need to log into your Microsoft account once you download it. Once that is done feel free to ask it whatever questions you want. Currently it looks and feels same like Google Now.
What sets it apart from the other digital assistant apps is it has built in location reminders. You can tell it to remind you things once you get close to somewhere. Ask it to remind you to get milk once you arrive at the grocery store for example.
You can download it now, or you can wait until July when the official version goes live on play store. But one thing is sure, “Love it or Hate it, you can’t just Ignore it !!”
So what do you think ? Will Microsoft be able to reclaim it’s lost space in the market with this product ? Please give your observations in the comments section below.
