All-metal smartphones seems to be a fashion statement nowadays. They are very attractive and elegant, with a premium design and several brands are betting on this, although many others already had before it was cool. So it’s pretty rare to see a brand that doesn’t invest in a premium metal device and Xiaomi wants to keep up with the trend with the upcoming Mi Note 2.
Although the Mi4 has some metal in its design it isn’t all-metal like we can see on an HTC flagship and with the Mi Note 2 the company will change this, giving up of the glass rear panel.
In what concerns to other specifications, the smartphones will have a 2K 5.7-inch display, a Snapdragon 820 CPU with 4 GB of RAM, and potentially Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint technology that will integrate fingerprint security into the screen, eliminating the need for a physical button on the device.
There are no more informations about the price, the target markets or even the time line of its release. About the last one, so far we only know that it will be announced in early 2016.
