The new version of the Android operating system, Marshmallow, is now available for some devices, including Nexus devices. Thus, it is not a big surprise that the update 6.0.1 is reaching to some equipment. Only a few devices will be the privileged, and the requirement is to be an Android One.
According to a Google Search, the model number listed, H220, is the Cherry Mobile Android G1 for the Philippines. Interestingly the Android security patch level is dated 01 December 2015. Assuming that is not a mistake, it seems that Google has finished the updated built into said patch despite this month it’s almost ending.
There is currently no information as to what this 6.0.1 update brings with it, but it is assumed to be bug fixes and stability improvements.
According to PhoneArena
HTC ROM developer @LlabTooFeR has it that, after 6.0.1, Google is planning to roll out Android 6.1 Marshmallow, though this is expected to happen starting next year.
If this information is true there is the question about updating other devices to version 6.0.1, or if the US giant will move directly to version 6.1.
