The LG Ray is now official and is the latest smartphone from the South Korean brand, with a large screen and a budget price. Ray is similar to LG Stylus G4 and comes equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS screen, a 8MP selfie camera and a 13MP rear camera with 1080p resolution.
The design of the new phone is fairly similar to the G4, with a brushed aluminum look on the back and hardware keys below the camera. It measures 9.3mm thick and packs a fairly large 3,000mAh battery., which the brand promises to last 10h of talk.
However the Ray also brings some weak points. The screen only has a 720p resolution (267ppi). Additionally, support for 4G is not available and therefore, users will have to make do with only 3G. The use of the dual-SIM is optional. It also comes equipped with an MediaTek MT6592M chipset packs an octa-core processor, a Mali-400 GPU and only 1GB RAM.
The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and brings some features that are already well known from the G series, such as the Knock Code and the Gesture Shot.
LG said it will provide the Ray in Silver, Gold and Black Titan, with the latter two models available in the market in January. In what concerns to the price there isn’t yet any information.
