The latest informations that have been revealed about the LG G5, told us that we would see some novelty in the design of this smartphone. This information suggested that the G5 would have a modular design, with a removable battery that slides out, which engages in a sort of drawer on the bottom of the device. Apparently, to replace or remove the battery, you will only have to pull it out of the smartphone. In what concerns to charge the battery, it charges as any other smartphone.
In addition to this possible change, it appears LG may move away from rear-facing volume keys on this year’s flagship, placing the volume up and volume down buttons on the side of the device instead. Also the power button will be one of the right side. Also the home button will bring something new. This will have a dual function, it will have a fingerprint sensor and can also be used to make mobile payments.
Another rumor says that the G5 will come with the Snapdragon 820 chipset, “dual camera” which could be a reference to the front and rear camera and an all-metal design and build.
Some believed that LG intends to introduce this smartphone at MWC in February, although, that would be a bit early with regard to normality. Usually, LG launches their G flagships for the US in the April, May, June timeline.
