The South Korean comapany just got the LG G4 on the shelves all over the world, but that didn’t stop them to already work on its successor, the LG G5.
Now that the fingerprint scanning is becoming a mainstream feature available in almost every recent phone, the G5 is said to come with Iris recognition. Yes, that’s right, the future is here.
Some reports by Korean publications are saying that LG has teamed up with a local biometrics specialist Irence, to try to implement the feature on the smartphone. The project is already going smoothly, the hardware module is already completed, now let’s see what they have for us.
LG hasn’t given much thinking on the fingerprint scanning feature on their phones and might as well skip it and offer Iris recognition instead.
Although there is already a phone equipped with Iris recognition, the Vivo X5Pro, we can expect a much more efficient module from LG on their rumored flagship that’s expected to launch this fall.
