The destiny of the LG G Pro 3 has not been very clear, and the project was put on hold a while ago, to focusing on the G4. Now, that the flagship is out and doing well, LG is apparently back on track for launching a follower to the G Pro 2.
If the new leak is true, the high end phablet will feature a 6-inch display with QHD resolution. You’d not be surprised to hear that the G Pro 3 will probably be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, and also 4GB of RAM, so it could support some multi-window multitasking. On internal storage there will be 32GB and a microSD slot.
There are some reports that claim a 20.7MP rear camera and that carries a bit of a Sony vibe, though it could be the 10:7 Toshiba sensor, used in HTC One M9 this year. An 8MP front camera will be also featured.
The smartphone is tipped to come with a fingerprint sensor, and we speculate it may be a feature that joins the proprietary control layout and the camera on the back. That said, LG was believed to jump to iris recognition, and skip the fingerprint sensor, but this may be only for the G5.
The device is said to be launched by the end of the year, but the price is not that exciting. At $79 it’s not exactly affordable, though befitting a top-end 6-inch phablet.
