So there’s a new smartphone available in China today, from Lenovo. This new device is called P70 and it is mainly a midranger except for the 4000 mAh battery, which Lenovo is claiming can last up to 34 days in standby.
This is an achievement for a smartphone is we take into account all the other smartphones available on the market nowadays, just bear in mind that the 34 day number only refers to 2G standby, it goes down to 30.5 days on 4G and only 29 on 3G, which is still an achievement nonetheless.
The P70 has a 5-inch 720p IPS touchscreen, a 5MP frontal camera and a 13MP rear camera with a LED flash. Powering this unit is MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit chipset with a 1.7 GHz Octa Core CPU and a 700MHz MaliT760-MP2 GPU.
Aside from that, the Lenovo P70 boasts a 5-inch 720p IPS touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, as well as a 5 MP front-facing unit. Running the show is MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit chipset, coming with a 1.7 GHz octa-core CPU and a 700 MHz MaliT760-MP2 GPU. It also has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage available plus a microSD card slot along with dual-SIM functionality and 4G LTE support.
Regarding styling the P70 is being offered in Midnight Blue only, running Android 4.4 KitKat, a little weird since Lollipop is out and about already.
The P70 will set you back around CNY 1,399 which, now, translates to about $224 or €198.
