LG promised late last year that the Lollipop update would roll out to G3 devices early on 2015. As it seems, if you own a G3 from Sprint there are good news for you.
There is an alleged Sprint document that provides information about the LG G3 Android 5.0 update, say the folks at Android Police.
According to this document the new software update will start rolling out on the 16th of February.
Some of you might be thinking that you already have the mentioned update and that this seems to be a bit late, but it is usual for US carriers to fall behind when it comes to software updates, so this time this seems like an improvement.
Just to remind you folks that Lollipop is the most major update Android has received, it comes with the new Material design interface from Google, multi-user support, better battery performance, and much more.
The leaked document also mentions that the update will be done in waves instead of hitting all customers at once, just remember to have your device with a battery charge level of at least 50% so it doesn’t power off during the installation of the update.
