In response to a question posted on Twitter a couple of week ago, HTC’s Mo Versi confirmed that HTC One M8 will be receiving an official update to Android M.
There is no time line specified so it doesn’t look like HTC is planning on promising a 90 days release policy this time.
Last May, HTC’s Jeff Gordon announced that Android M would be coming to HTC One M9 and M9+. Details regarding other models are expected to continue to surface anytime.
Besides HTC, Sony is the only other OEM that openly begun talking about Android M updates. Sony recently released a series of Android M Developer Preview Builds for its wide range of XPeria devices. It seems that Sony is planning to bring the update to a number of its handsets too.
How about the rest? Let’s wait and see.
