Probably the most well-known company in the Android world is now investing on India with a 50 member team. Their job is to spread support to the Cyanogen OS throughout the country and provide better quality assurance.
Part of the Cyanogen’s most recent funding, 80 million to be exact, is going to be invested in a office in India.
In a interview, Vikram Natarajan, senior vice-president of global partnerships and distribution at Cyanogen, mentioned that it’s worth investing in India, since it’s a growing market when it comes to mobile phones. As we all know, Cyanogen signed an exclusive deal with Micromax-owner Yu Televentures to pre-install the new Cyanogen OS out of the box on their phones.
Last year, after the successful launch of Yu Yreka, the manufacturer also unveiled their most recent phone, the Yu Yuphoria which will have Cyanogen OS 12 pre-installed.
