As well as announcing two smartphones, the Mate S and the G8, at IFA this year, Huawei also announced the highly anticipated Huawei Watch.
Admittedly, the Huawei Mate S was the highlight of the event, but when the brand announced its smartwatch was the delight of those who were present.
This is a smartwatch with Android Wear with an elegant design. It comes equipped with a 1.4 inches AMOLED screen 400×400, covered by sapphire crystal to protect it from scratches. It also comes with a dual-core Snapdragon 200 1.2GHz, a 512MB RAM, plus 40 pre-installed clocks and a heartbeat sensor that Huawei claims to be the most advanced in the market.
The brand will offer three different models with different materials and prices. The base model is the 316L stainless steel with a leather strap, which will be available for € 399. Then there is the model in black with a metal bracelet for € 449. Finally the most expensive model for € 699, in stainless steel and pink gold with a metal bracelet.
Pre-orders for the Huawei Watch has already begun and the brand will start shipping the smartwatch on 17 September.
