Huawei doesn’t stop it’s already working in the Ascend Mate 7 successor. The upcoming phablet will lose the Ascend name (just like the P8) and will be called just Mate 8.
So far, this Huawei fable has been hiding from all the buzz and only in January there were some purportedly pictures of it. But now, a few months later there is aspect list of the Mate 8.
The Mate 8 is supposedly going to come with QHD resolution for its touchscreen, which seems odd because the company’s CEO once publicly bashed Xiaomi for using a QHD panel inside its Mi Note Pro. The new phablet should also have a 20.7MP rear camera, made by Sony and will also pack a Kirin 930 chipset with octa-core CPU.
The Mate 8 will keep the fingerprint scanner from its predecessor, along with the general design elements, all-metal construction, and Cat.6 LTE support. In what concerns to the display, it seems that Huawei don’t want to miss any trend and a bezelless display will be present in the Mate 8.
