The Huawei CEO, Richard Yu went to CES to announce that Ascend Mate 2 4G. Build on the original Ascend that was also announced at the CES but on the 2013 edition the Ascend Mate 2 4G has the same huge screen of 6.1 inch but has significant improvements on the inside.
The most remarkable it’s definitely the introduction of compatibility with the LTE that will be available for all the networks in the world, including AT&T and the T-Mobile. The processor it’s a Quad Core Snapdragon 8929 with 1.6 GHz, we also have 802.11ac connectivities and WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0. On the camera front, Huawei is continuing a focus on imaging with a 5MP front-facing unit, and a 13MP Sony BSI sensor in the back.
The battery also suffer some improvements and Huawei says that the Ascend Mate 2 4G it’s capable of working non stop during two days thanks to the 4050mAh lithium-polymer battery.
On the software front, Huawei is iterating its Emotion UI with a simpler design, new one-handed features for larger devices and even more options for controlling apps, calls and social networking.
