In an Honor event in Berlin the brand announced that it will soon launch the Marshmallow update for their Honor 7. However, none of the other devices were mentioned. Now, was published in the official Twitter page of the Indian division of the brand that the launch of this update will happen in February 2016.
In addition to the Honor 7, this Marshmallow initial release also included the Honor 4C, 4X, 6 and 6 Plus. Users of these devices still have some months of waiting ahead but this is always good news.
What remains unclear is what the Chinese brand will choose to put over the Marshmallow. The EMUI works with almost any stock element of Android, but some things still don’t work properly. Hope lies in the Huawei partnership with Nexus, so we expect to see some improvements in this area.
What is surprising is that the Huawei brand hasn’t yet said anything about this update for their devices but the sub brand Honor already did. There are already rumors about a new Mate device that may also emerge later this year, so a lot can happen.
