CES is important for the big brands that introduce their products for this year, but there is also room for other smaller manufacturers product but with equally good or even better quality, example of this is the Hisense VIDAA Mirror.
The product was announced in November but just now it wa seen live, and despite the press release the available data were difficult to understand, a tablet frame with 9.5 mm is stupidly small, this means that over 90% of the front is the device’s screen!
A summary of the specifications can be seen in the list below:
- 1.8 GHz Quad-core Cortex A17 chipset
- 8.4 inches screen
- 3.4mm thick
- IPS screen with 2K resolution (2560 x 1600)
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB ROM
- 2 stereo speakers
As for comparison we can use the Air Cases 2 having 6.1 mm thickness, we can see taht this VIDAA is a “sheet of paper”.
Relatively to the OS this tablet runs Android 5.0.1 Lollipop and has a custom skin which is something alluding to the iOS and the English used is something archaic and with some mistakes that causes the user who understands the language roll their eyes. But the frame leaves us speechless …
Hisense is not a well-known brand, but is one of the companies in the Top 10 of American electronic product that aims to reach the Top 3.
Perhaps we believe stock Android can reach more customers, because the desire to buy is there because of the design of course, it just lacks a little more personality and voilà, we have top seller!
