The game focuses on presenting you with challenges that will surely keep your brain occupied for a while and will definitely make it more strong when it comes to future puzzle solving challenges.
You can play with different profiles and will unlock levels as you play along.
The first time you play Grid Puzzle you will go through a tutorial that will teach you the goal of the puzzle and how to play the game, controls, etc.
Besides that you will also be given tips that will make your life easier, at least for the first few levels, to do that you will be guided by Dr NoNo.
You have 2 game modes available.
In which you will only go to the next level if you can achieve what the Dr. asks of you and where you will be faced with increasingly difficult challenges and the grade required for you to pass will also increase as well as the accuracy, and the time will decrease of course.
In which you can play just for your amusement or to practice as you like. In quick mode you have Normal, Time, Hard and Quick game modes to chose from.
In Normal you are asked to solve the puzzle as quickly as you can. You will plays as many puzzles as you like and your best streak will be saved so you know when you are improving or not.
In Hard mode the gameplay is the same as in normal mode with the simple difference being on the puzzle size.
In Timed mode you will be challenged to solve as many puzzles as you can in the provided time – 60 seconds.
In Quick mode you will have to solve the puzzles as quickly as you can, and it will save the best time you can achieve.
So as you can see there are a lot of factors to take into account while you are solving puzzles if you want to go through the game.
The challenges will change too. Sometimes instead of achieving a particular grade you will have to solve as many puzzles as you can in a determined amount of time. So it isn’t a boring game at all and before you know it you will have spent a few hours on it.
In this mode you will not only be able to unlock new levels as you accomplish new feats but you will also be able to go back to previous levels and take the challenges again to improve your scores.
Story mode has the possibility to be played by several different profiles so you will not have to worry about someone else messing with your scores.
The game graphics are very agreeable and pleasant tot the eye. They will not tire you out after long periods of playing and they were very well accomplished.
It has suffered some updates during the course of this review, and there are new features such as a reminder in order for you to exercise your brain through the game. It lets you set an alarm for a specific time and how many games you should play, 1,2 or 3.
Be aware that this will not be intrusive, at the specified time of the alarm a notification will appear on your device’s notification bar, and when you want to just click it. It will automatically open up the game and pull you into the Grid Puzzle experience until you reached the desired number of games.
There is also a quotes section now on the menu that shows you an array of life quotes from famous people regarding all kinds of subjects.
Grid Puzzle is available for free at the Play Store so feel free to check it out. It is an interesting game and it will take some time for you to get used to its interface and the game modes.
It will keep you interested for a long time, or at least until you find a level where you can’t move forward, which is pretty rare I must say.
Grid puzzle is also great when it comes to longevity as you have loads of levels to go through and many choices of game modes to distract you if you aren’t keen on pursuing the “career” mode.
I must say that one thing that really annoys me is the fact that the game simply ignores the back button of the devices I’ve tried it on.
