Shopping Express, the Google local delivery service is continuing to be restricted to some areas of the San Francisco bay area, Los Angeles Chicago, Washington DC, northern California, Boston and New York City. Outside those regions, just skip this story, because Google Shopping Express aren’t growing outside of the densest US urban zones sooner. But, for those who can use the service, version 3.0 contains a new user interface.
Google Shopping Express has been redesigned from the ground up, following the Material Design guidelines. However, the app doesn’t use those extravagant Lollipop animations, but it does get a themed announcement bar and a boost to readability. And certainly follows the line of the rest of the Google’s redesigned apps. The functionality is the same (including the notification options from the last redesign), though there are some more hooks for those who use the premium subscription service.
