Google is now accepting payments in Brazilian Real for the purchases in the Google Play Store. New Brazilian Google Play developer accounts will automatically use Brazilian Real as their default currency from now on.
Marketers who sell apps in Brazil and get payouts in other currencies other will have 25 percent of the purchase amount retained by the government taxes. That includes Brazilian developers who decide to keep accepting payments in US dollars. Local developers must also have a bank account located in Brazil if they wants to accept payments in Brazilian Real.
