Google is planning to launch service that will allow users to easily communicate with providers of home repair services. The report claims that Google is interested in connecting users with plumbers, electricians, roofers, and various other handyman-type jobs.
Google would allow service providers to upload their schedules to the company’s servers and then let users to sign up for an appointment online. The issue, however, is there is such a large number of workers in this field that it could be hard for Google to integrate a respectable number of them into its service.
This service would be the latest in a series of tools from Google aimed at providing a central location for users to compare pricing and features of given categories. Google recently launched a service that allows users to compare auto insurance pricing in the United States, while also continuing to add to its existing services for things like flight pricing.
Let’s wait and see if this service delivers what is expected.
