Let’s admit it, one fear constantly nags us. The fear of dropping our phones. Gone are the days of the Nokia 3310, which was nearly indestructible (you will find many jokes of it over the internet). Nowadays smartphones are fragile, and a single bad drop can destroy them.
So, when you are buying a high-end device, it’s a good idea to do a bit of research over the internet. Most people go for unboxing videos and reviews, but many also go for a drop-test result. A drop test result determines how much damage the device suffers from when dropped from a standard or reasonable height.
This video shows the drop test result of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.This is a bit different from conventional drop test videos on YouTube because a proper drop test machine is being used to replicate the scenarios. In the first test the Galaxy Note 5 is dropped on its back, side and front from a height of one meter on tile. On the 2nd test the Galaxy Note 5 is dropped on its back, side and front from a height of one meter on concrete.
The result ? Although it’s not the most durable device out there, but it’s better than many flagships.
