Samsung might be working on a device for 2016, with a rear dual-camera, suggests a report out of Korea. It’s not a complete original idea because HTC already does that with the One M8, the handset featured a rear dual-camera setup, and the secondary camera is used to capture profundity to enhance special effects like bokeh, just as letting users to refocus the image after it has been taken.
It’s not very clear, how long the testing process and if the results will be satisfactory to Samsung to launch a device with dual-camera next year. The report is not clear about the purpose of the dual-camera setup device, maybe it will be used to allow smoother zooming, adjust backlight brightness and tracking of fast-moving objects aside from bokeh effects and refocusing of photos already taken. A spokesman for Samsung Electronics is cited in the report. Saying that the company has four ideas for dual-camera setups presently in testing and it’s expected to embrace this technology “in the first half of androinext year”.
