Everybody like the ‘like’ button on Facebook but many users are asking for some time now for a ‘dislike’ button. Until now, Facebook didn’t say anything about it, however it seems that the Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg thought that it was time to talk a little bit about it.
According to Zuckerberg, the ‘dislike’ button it’s closer to it’s launch than we might think.
CNBC reports that during an online Q&A session, Zuckerberg sai:
People have asked about the ‘dislike’ button for many years, and probably hundreds of people have asked about this, and today is a special day because today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it.
However the Facebook CEO doesn’t want it to be similar to the “downvote” that’s used on sites like Reddit, instead the new feature will allow people to “express empathy” with their Facebook friends.
There isn’t any time frame for when or how the “dislike” button would be tested on Facebook.
