Samsung started off it’s CES press conference by revealing a portable and stylish SSD T1. The drive is smaller than a business card, weighs about 28 grams and comes in a black chrome metal coating and laser patterning.
This is basically an external storage device with a solid state drive instead of a conventional hard drive. It has capacities of 250GB, 500GB and 1TB and takes advantage of Samsung’s proprietary 3D V-NAND technology. To put it in perspective, the Samsung SSD T1 can transfer a 10GB file in 27 seconds.
The SSD T1 price starts from $179.99 and goes to $599.99.
