The Canadian brand BlackBerry decided to return to the market and brought the BlackBerry Priv, which was previously known as Venice. In addition to marking the return of the brand, the Priv is specialbecause it comes with the Android OS.
This smartphone is now available for sale starting today in the US with AT & T being the first carrier to offer the device. In Priv, the BlackBerry didn’t dispense of its trademark, the keyboard and, in addition to that they launched the smartphone with a recent version of Andorid, the 5.1.1 Lollipop .
But Google has already introduced some time ago the new version of its operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Thus, the BlackBerry is no different from other brands and there is already the question of when the Marshmallow will reach the Priv.
According to the brand, there are already plans for this update, which is scheduled for next year. This is not a very specific information but hopefully it won’t take too long.
This information was revealed by Ron Louks, the BlackBerry President of Devices, who also spoke about the Google monthly updates, to solve problems regarding the safety of Android devices. About this, Ron Louks says that, at least in Europe, they intend to launch these updates to the Priv within 30 days after Google.
