The Zenfone line from Asus never had an easy identifiable model name and spotted on TENAA’s website , a new smartphone might be a new addition to the line very soon.
The device spotted has the current model number Z00EDB , and some might think that this is the new Zenfone 3, or at least one more addition to the long list of low-spec devices.
The smartphone has a 5-inch 720p IPS display just like the Zenfone2 , the Z00EDB is powered by an unknown chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz clock inside , 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory with microSD expansion.
It has a 8MP camera , also borrowed from the Zenfone 2 but it comes equipped with a dual-tone LED flash, and also while flanking the lens the phone might be equipped with laser autofocus capability and its also equipped with a 5MP front camera.
The phone has Android 5.0.2 pre-installed. The design is pretty much the same , the phone currently measures 143.7×71.5×10.7mm, which makes a little bit smaller than the Zenfone 2 and 10g lighter , with 145g in weight.
There aren’t any battery specifications yet , we just have to wait if this is a the new Zenfone 3 or if its just another addition to the Zenfone lineup.
