There’s almost no secrets left about LG’s upcoming flagship phone prior to to its presentation, on April 28. LG has been busy pre-reveal the G4’s leather back, 16 MP f/1.8 camera sensor and UX 4.0. The second part of the UX 4.0 teaser shows other details about the updated software layer, which is going to ship on the phone.
Two features which where hinted in the first video are explained in the second teaser, called Quick Shot and Ringtone ID. Ringtone ID, automatically creates customized ringtones for your contacts to make a distinction them by tone. Quick Shot takes a photo just to double tap the rear volume down key, even when the phone is locked it works, which is very handy for those spontaneous moments that you want to capture. The Ringtone ID, I’m not sure about the practicality, because, what are really the chances of identifying the changes between several tunes generated by a machine? But, you can always attribute ringtones to your contacts manually, or you know, there are Wear watches.
Another two new features made it onto a video too. First, a burst mode for the front camera which is called Gesture Interval Shot, but the pause between shots is longer before the next selfie, so you can change your facial expression. And there’s still an update to QuickMemo+ allows you to save specific text or photo from web to a memo.
As an extra, LG posted this week another teaser, demonstrating the G4’s camera skills, plus manual setting for ISO, white balance and shutter speed (more than 30 seconds).
